Wow, played it all day yesterday. I think I have 1 more level to finish. I was pretty spaced out before playing it ahem ;). I played for a couple hours and it’s super meditative; very visual and surreal. I felt like I got lost in someone’s dreams recreated in fractions of memories from childhood to death. There’s a sense of melancholy and yearn. It felt like I was searching for answer and the farther you go into memories, to farther you get from home in space. (I remember seeing a tombstone). I did get a little freaked out sometimes with the ambience, seclusion, and dark corners. I got the weirdest feeling after taking a break because I was so immersed in the game lol. It’s like you’re traveling someones floating thoughts.
Makes me think, what if in the future we somehow we could record dreams and explore them?
Why in the Solar System? Was she alone? Did she find love? All this questions will be answered once the player progresses through the game using just the head with an innovative locomotion system and game mechanics. This is not an on-rails experience, you move and interact with the environments at your own pace.
The development team opted for a control scheme that does not require external devices which will get us out the experience like a gamepad. Looking around the environment is all you will need to move and interact with it. As a consequence, the user is so much immersed in the experience that forgets about the world around him, being a perfect product to any public, and specially indicated to get started in VR and videogames.
